Bald and Beautiful

The day we all knew would come is here---or at least close enough for comfort. Lynn's hair has begun to come out much more aggressively (a good sign the chemo is working). Rather than deal with this slow retreat, she has decided to go at it full boar. Tomorrow morning we are going to shave her head (sorry Rhea/Jemma/Steve--the hair won't make it to the party).

Today was hard. Day two of our anniversary---she is gift enough for me (but sometimes I need to say it a bit more so she gets it---and realizes I don't need a present or even dinner). More exhaustion and productive nausea. Looks like chemo day three (or the second day after chemo) is that kind of day. I think I prefer the day of chemo where there is just strong fatigue, but then again, perhaps just the normal days of week two---slight fatigue, but basically ok.

I'm tired too. Been a long week. And I still have a large pile of mulch and a grass that needs to be cut---constant reminders of my household neglect. Sigh.

You are going to look beautiful bald! Really, it does not matter what you do, you will always be beautiful and have that extra special grace that is a Lynn trademark. I hope to have the privilage of seeing your new look, giving you a hug, and delivering your favorite cookies from the Amherst Deli- I got enought for you to share with Jemma- sometime this morning. But if it is a sleepy day, Erin and Terry will bring cookies when they visit you next and I will send support from afar. Zack, my cell in case you do not have it is 773-454-6707 and please ring to let me know if I can meet up in Evanston in the morning at a cafe- or wherever. Thank you!

Dear Cousin -- You could change your hair to purple and you'd be beautiful...oh yeah, you did that already, okay, you could shave your hair off and be bald and you'd still be so so beautiful and lovely....I'm thinking along with V for Vendetta hair do, Zena, warrior woman attitude, when I do yoga I pretend I'm her...nothing in common between Zena and I except that attitude that's what I'm going for and trying to say here......with your new warrior hair(less) do you can be who ever you want to be -- and kick some ass. Love you lots, B'Sarah

Dear Zach -- I was thinking maybe along with friends signing up to help Lynn with some of her days here, maybe some of us could sign up for helping around the house....cleaning, mulching, cooking...whatever might be helpful.....Ali and I will sign up for a few days this fall to come out and rake, cook, clean...you name it, we even do windows!!! Love you lot's B'Sarah
